Custom logos such as corporate logos and sports crests should be digitized by a professional into a format most embroidery machines can read for the best possible results.
Click on the Digitizing button for more on this process.
There are times that digitizing is not necessarily the best solution. One time events, small team orders, special occasion gifts, monogrammed shirts and towels are all good examples of orders that don’t need costly digitizing.
Create your own embroidery designs with stock designs and / or embroidery fonts for a quick, cost-efficient design solution. We carry most of the 40,000 designs featured in these two on-line catalogues. You can use these pre-digitized designs alone or combined with lettering. There are however, a few considerations when making your choice.
Here are some of the major ones:
- Type of garment or material it’s going on ( ie. For caps can’t exceed 2.25”Hx4.25”L)
- How large or small the design should be ( ie left chest or jacket back size).
- Maximum or minimum size the machines can embroider.
- How many colors and type of stitches used in the design.
Just visit one the web sites below and search for your designs. Email or call us with your selections and we will advise you on whether the design is appropriate for your needs as well as the cost estimate.
LETTERING FONTS
When choosing fonts the same considerations apply to your selection. There are other factors to keep in mind such as the minimum and maximum sizes a font can be before it becomes either illegible and damages the garment or too loose and unravels. Most block fonts can’t exceed 2” in height and shouldn’t be smaller than ¼”. Script letters can not be smaller that ½” and 2 color fonts must be at least 1” high.
Some common sports fonts are: Block, Brush, Open Block, Curtis, Century, Athletic and Outline as well as 2 color Athletic.
Popular monogram fonts include Block, Brush, Century, Commercial, Diana, Hobo, and Monogram.
